What is the differance between pilsner,ale and lager beer?

Ales are fermented with top fermenting yeast and require higher temperature range than lagers which use bottom fermenting yeast and require a lower temperature range. Pilsners are a type of lager and divided into three types, American, German, and Bohemian.
