Religion doesn't kill people, People kill people ?

I don't think religion is the cause of all human violence at all. I do think sometimes people kill soley out of religious motivation and that when people feel they are acting on behalf of an unquestionable authority it is difficult to debate the behavior or question the actions. Wouldn't the Israel/Palestine situation be easier to deal with if both sides weren't claiming religious and unquestionable rights based on religious beliefs? Would the Inquisition have been possible without religion? Is it coincidence that almost all leaders crying out for war and aggression invoke god's name and cast the others as the evil ones they must beat for the cause of good? Religion may be just a tool but it complicates things a lot.
