If I dated a moslem man would he be strict about the male doest this and the female is for cleaning and babies?

I have seem many indian men that i find attractive, but then they start spouting these dark ages believes that a woman belongs to the man and is his slave to do as he says. that the relationship isnot 50/50 like a real healthy relationship is. Please explain.
