Harry potter mistake?

Im not sure if its actually a mistake, i just don't understand how in the forth book Moody's eye was able to see through Harry's invisibility cloak. Even if it can see through normal invisibility cloaks it shouldn't have been able to see him if its a deathly hallow. I never really got that. And i never saw harry fix his wand at the end of the second movie.
