Can mucus be used for adhesive purposes?

I am an avid collector of nic nacs, dolls, etc and last night we had a bad thunderstorm and it knocked a few of them off the shelf :( Well now on of my snow babies is missing and arm and I was wondering if I could just stick a few boogers together and piece it back. Does anybody have any experience with this? Thanks!
